In my view, professional development should be an inclusive process. Whenever a need arises and someone has a potential solution, they should have the opportunity to create and collaborate  with others. This can help to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within an organization.

Moreover, we all have a responsibility to give back in areas where we feel they have something meaningful to contribute. By sharing our expertise and experiences, we can inspire and motivate others to develop their skills and knowledge.

Finally, effective professional development instruction should be tailored to the unique needs and busy schedules of adult learners. This means providing flexible learning opportunities, such as online courses, webinars, or personalized coaching, to enable learners to balance their learning needs with their work and personal commitments.

Wetzel Core Connections: Choice Board Pres

This 90-minute professional development presentation was designed to help educators shift away from a teacher-led mindset and instead challenge themselves to create a more student-focused classroom. I shared relevant research on "Student Choice" and provided participants with ample time to reflect and practice using newly introduced educational technology tools. By the end of the session, teachers left with the ability to create highly engaging student-led activities for their classrooms.
